We’re excited to host The Lantern City this year at Bentall Centre.

Visit the Burrard Benches (555 Burrard St) from January 29 to February 19 and see the Coastal Lunar Lanterns that features three Indigenous artists and their stories about the powerful beings in their cultures.

This series explores the symbolism of the snake in Indigenous cultures. Snakes are often depicted as mediators in Indigenous cultures of the Northwest, beings that protect the balance. As you walk through downtown Vancouver this new year, we invite you to discover the stories of the snake with an open mind.

The protective nature of the snake, the balance they maintain between dichotomies, and the transformative powers of legendary creatures—discover these stories through our lantern installations!
