Join us on January 15 for the reception of Clarifying An Outside by Vancouver-based artist Kiki West Best. Enjoy an evening with the artist, explore the exhibit, and connect with the community. Non‑alcoholic beverages will be served.
Kiki West Best lives and works in Vancouver, on the unceded and ancestral territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples. Her practice centers on subconscious narratives expressed through scratched ceramics, collage-paintings, and altered photographs.
Working from Beaumont Studios and her home ceramic garage, her work sits at the border between her inner and outer worlds. Extending beyond the canvas, she creates installations and, more recently, collaborates to develop interactive ceramic tools for shared dining experiences—elbow crayons, porcelain flower petals, and swans spilling dressing on their salad feathers—exploring how to engage others in the manifestation of imagination.
