“Over the last several years we’ve taken significant steps to green our buildings and our business processes. In charting this path one of the things we’ve learned is that going green isn’t just the socially or environmentally responsible thing to do, it’s also the financially responsible thing to do. And given the current global economic situation, no one can afford to be wasteful.
The Bentall Centre team has been a leader in conservation initiatives; they are continually looking for opportunities to control energy, waste and water, and in turn help control the buildings’ operating costs.
Having Bentall Centre tenants adopt culture of conservation within their respective workplaces is a significant aspect of the program. As one of the largest commercial office complexes in western Canada we have a responsibility to our neighbours, to the City, the Province, and to others to set an example. If you’ve already begun a program of conservation within your organization, I thank for your participation. And if you’re considering it, I hope you’ll find these resources useful for launching one.”
